Mordred hails from a loyalist family of Lordaeron. His father was a veteran in the First War. His mother was a powerful pyromancer that hid from the Kirin Tor under his father's protection but later died in child birth. Mordred's service to the Scarlet Crusade began young after losing most of his family in the Third War. He would be sponsored by his Uncle into the ranks of the Scarlet Crusade serving in the Crimson Dawn and Onslaught Campaigns before eventually finding himself back in the Eastern Kingdoms and surrounded by heretical ideals and groups that had forgotten their ways or were not loyal to their oaths.
Later in life, he met his wife Aeralin Lightsong. She would be the source for many aspirations and broaden his horizon for conquest within his chapter. Eventually, Mordred set his sights on the fact that it was not merely the Silver Hand, the Scourge or even the undead that were threats to the Scarlet Crusade's mission. They were not the biggest threat to successfully reclaiming Lordaeron. No. Instead, Mordred found his gaze settling upon the problem that lay at what he believes is the root of the failure to turn the wheels of progress on many an issue for the Scarlet Crusade and Humanity as a whole, the Crown. The Crown had failed to aid Lordaeron, failed to aid its people in multiple times of need and ultimately failed to address the growing problem of the scourge and the undead until it became too late. To this day, the Crucible operates as a zealous band of rag tag, renegade Scarlet Crusaders whose belief in their oaths and belief in one another realizes the dream of a united Eastern Kingdoms free from a Treasonous Crown who fails to cull the cancerous undead.
